      Review

Not great. Chapter 1 has an annoying bug; if you fall off the elevator, you're stuck because you cannot call it back down, however if 1 human player reaches the top, everyone else can go idle and the bots will teleport. The map design is bland with not much "flavour" just very generic and not interesting. The finale is pretty cool as you backtrack through chapter 1 of the original Illusions. Speaking of the finale, it's always a bad idea to just have long ladders that the infected can block/cramp, the bots will almost always fall to their deaths and it doesn't leave much room for human players either. An okay campaign, but not great overall, pretty bland.

Playable, but harder than normal map & still needs some fixes

It's a playable short campaign. I said "playable" because there are no serious bugs here, as bot navigation goes well in overalls. But about difficulty, this campaign is harder than normal campaigns as this campaign is specialized in some zombie traps & narrow paths leading to high places without a wall to lean on (it means that a charger can wipe out entire team in line with his charge, & tank can send someone to fly & fall to death to the ground). The hints are somehow still lacking. Like for example, some areas have no clue about where to go, & the finale has no hint whether survivors should hold out or run to the rescue location. Some traps are kind of dangerous, like for example, the twin tanks at the end of map 2. It's a watery area that reduces survivor's movement speed, yet there are 2 tanks jumping down the watery area. This one is impossible to beat in Expert because of the watery area (it would be a different story if there's no water, so survivors can run around to fight the twin tanks). Bots in that area also teleport into the saferoom behind the closed door because the saferoom is very close, so bots are kind of cheating & leaving players to fight the twin tanks alone. Then, the lack of hints in the finale also makes the finale harder. For example, ladder near the rescue location is unclear because there's no arrow where the ladder is. In my play, I found the ladder after observing for few minutes while letting bots do the killing. & I'd like to tell it here to help other players, that the ladder is the vent. if you find a vent, climb it up to the rescue location.
      .
Well in short, it's a playable campaign, but it still needs more adjustments about the difficulty & also some more hints are needed. & it's recommended to play with either elite bots or other players, as vanilla bot's slow reactions will more likely cause the failure & restart for many times. I'll update this review later when this campaign has the difficulty re-adjustments & hints added.

      • @3134094210s: I'm looking forward to your next works then.

@fpelayo: Oh I forgot that adrenaline factor. I usually picked pills as they give more temporary health than adrenaline shot. It looks like I picked the wrong item for the preparation at the end of map 2.

      • Yeah my non-cheat strategy for those Twin Tanks is to activate adrenaline before activating the switch, then running back the way I came out of the water. The Tanks will beat up the bots since they're stuck trying to teleport through the shutter to get to the safe room, and I just wait back in the path for them all to be incapped and lay out the molotov when I know they're coming after me and run back through the map to burn them out. Of course, you have to pray that you don't get pounced or something after the Tanks die and before you can rescue a bot.

      • Thank you very much for your support and feedback. This map is just to test some of my own ideas. Please look forward to the follow-up works.

      • @fpelayo: You could survive the twin tank trap at the end of map 2 at watery area? I got punched by a tank there, thanks to bots that just teleported through the gate when I was trying to open it. & it was in Normal difficulty so I could still escape with a "melee dash" from my mod. So in Expert, I think map 2 is impossible if played with bots. Even if played with other players, one player needs to sacrifice himself to open the gate while the others wait from afar to target the twin tanks. & for me the "Confused Illusion" is the more balanced one. I remembered playing that one till the finale without the excessive difficulties like tons of witches or tank traps. Well, I admit that this campaign is still less frustrating than the legendary "Hehe" campaigns though.

      • This is actually easier than the previous couple of Confused parts... it's just map 1 that plays like a challenge campaign, and I can see 3 or 4 players having an easy time with it. Problem is Single Players will get their bots' ***** kicked in the hall of witches, and you badly need a couple of them to be alive for the spiral gauntlet run to save you if you get pulled by a Smoker. (and there are plenty since it's double special-infected spawns)
